    '66 Horn Date Code

Hopefully, someone can clear up some confusion. In the date coding of horns where the letter corresponds to a month is "I" skipped? If I have a horn whose code is 5J2 what does it mean? I looked in the judging manual and I interpreted it to mean 1965 Oct, 2nd week. Is this correct?

    Thanks in advance

Good question Allen. My understanding was the "I" was not used in dating of electrical components such as alternator, distributor, etc. I would include the horn in the electrical catagory. This being the case September would be represented by J and October by K. Hopefully we'll get more responses to your question.
