    C1 Frame ID

    I have a 1958 Corvette with a frame with the numbers SI0XXXX (actual numbers deleted) stamped on the top rail under the drivers seat. Is it possible to tell anything about the frame since it does not match the door plate VIN.

      Start by looking to see if there are mounting brackets for the rear axle radius rods - what part of the country is the car from?

              There are brackets fwd of the rear wheels for strut rods and also brackets aft of the rear wheels for a stablizer bar.
