    57 Vette INFO Sources

I was wondering if some of you guys out there with 57's could recommend some good places to get as much info on the 57 corvette. The car I own is a 57 roadster with the Dual quad 270 HP motor. The strange thing about my car is that the interior is red and white. The seats are red and white and so are the kick panels. The car has been in my dads hands since 1962 or 63. Before that his business partner owned it. I have removed the both seats upper and lower and they still have original tags on them. I am in the process of restoring the entire car and I need to figure out this "mystery" about the interior and I figured this was the best place. I was wondering if there was anybody out there that has any factory info that could help me with this interior question. Also I was hopeing you guys could recommend some good places to pick up either nos or high quality repro parts. I can be contacted by email at mattc@theramp.net

    thanks alot

    Re: 57 Vette INFO Sources

    Matt -

Unfortunately, there is no source for original build info prior to the tank sticker era ('67). Your best shot is to see if the original owner (your Dad's business partner?) has any of the original order/delivery paperwork and maybe pictures of the car when it was new. There were allegedly three 57's built with "undetermined" interior trim combinations, but I don't know if anyone has ever documented what they were.
