I am replacing U-joints and have the type with no grease fitting, the bearings are greased but the box says, warning, U joint must be fully lubricated upon installation. Since these are the permanently lubricated U-joints, I wouldn't think they would need to be lubricated. Am I right?

Re: Neapco U-joint
It's always been my experience that either zerk or non-zerk U-joint are ready to install out of the box. If the cups and needles have grease on them, just install them. It might not look like a lot, but there's not much room for grease, so they are likely okay to install as it.

Re: Neapco U-joint
The Spicer u-joints that I recently replaced in my 72 had an paper insert in the box that clearly stated that these were pre-greased and contained the exact amount ouf grease necessary for proper operation and not to add any further.
