C3 1980 Exhaust and Shock Replacement

I would be interested in hearing opinions of NCRS members on the replacement of both exhaust and shocks on my 1980 Corvette. Car is nearly all original but I know these items will soon require replacement and I would like, in advance, to have some information from you on the appropriate replacement parts for both systems that would most closely approximate OE equipment (and result in the least point reduction should I have the car judged) Just as important, I would like your opinions on where to purchase both from a trustworthy & reliable supplier, at a reasonable price.
    Thanks for your opinions.

The shocks are easy. Get a set of Delco Reactec shocks of Delco #560-50 and 560-51. Configuration-wise, these will be as close to the original shocks as you can get. This will not be the case, though, if your car is equipped with the FE-7 option.

As far as exhaust goes, all components are GM discontinued. Reproductions are available from Doctor Rebuild or Allen's Stainless Steel Exhaust. You can obtain them in bare steel, aluminized, or stainless. For 1980, I believe that the original systems were aluminized, but I'm not sure if the pipes were, or not.
