Are there ANY differences between the 'glide case from the heavy duty unit (1.76) and the light duty (1.82). Can all the internals from the heavy unit be placed into the light duty case without any problems/modifications? If there are no differences, are the part #'s between the two cases the same from the same year? Thanks...

Don't know if this will help, but you might ask John Urbanic at Pointe Automatic Transmission, in St. Clair Shores, MI(586)776-7300. He put an aluminum Powerglide in my '62 several years ago and specializes in 1937 and later automatics. I think he may have an ad in Hemmings in the Corvette Parts section with an email address as well.Chuck Lyman
