C2 Heater and Evaporator Motor- Joe Lucia

Joe - I am trying to determine the difference in the heater and evaporator blowers on a 66 air versus non air car. The parts are listed below. Do you have anyway of telling me the difference. Flow, static head or something. Logic would say an evaporator blower would be bigger but need documentation.

Group 8.855 Motor, Heater
64-66 CORVETTE, (except Car Air Conditioning) 4914901 $16.20

Group 9.215 Motor Assy., Evaporator Blower
63-67 CORVETTE, with Car Air Conditioning 4914916 $21.80

Any assistance would be appreciated.

One major difference between the A/C and non-A/C blower motors was the fact that A/C motors had provisions for a cooling tube on the motor frame. As it would imply, the cooling tube provided cool air to the motor when it was in operation.

At the moment, I do not know the specification differences between the A/C and non-A/C motors. If I come up with something later, I'll post a further response.

They look the same except for the vent hole.
