I have a 1975 I am atarting to restore. I bought the book "How to Restore Your 1968 - 1982 Corvette". In this book it references several option numbers. For example A31 = power windows, FE7 = Gymkhana suspension. Where do I find these numbers as they relate specifically to my car?

Re: where do you find the numbers
I think you are looking for a list of options that specifically came with your car. These options were listed on a sheet of paper which was glued to the top of your car's gas tank during its procession through the assembly line. It is also called a build sheet or tank sticker and probably has some other names as well. Besides the top of the gas tank, extra build sheets have been known to have been placed between the speedometer and tachometer or burried somewhere else behind the dash. This documentation if available/legible should list all the options that were installed at the factory.Tony- Top

Re: horn alarm? too early...

Given the build date of your car and the fact that NONE of the other components of the alarm system or their fastening holes are to be found on the car, I'd say that it's EXTREMELY UNLIKELY, IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE that this car was ever equipped with the alarm option. Why it has the hole, I don't know; perhaps some previous owner installed an aftermarket alarm system and used the "stock" location for the alarm switch.
Barring finding some DOCUMENTATION that the car was originally equipped with the alarm system (e.g. a tank sticker), I think that I'd fill the hole.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
