59 side window height

Hi Guys,

I have re-assembled my drivers side door internals but the window when fully wound up appears to be about 3/8 to 1/2" too low. It does not meet the top of the door post weatherstrip and the window glass frame does not meet the felt.

I have checked that the frame stops at the top of the door opening are not stopping the frame but the frame is at least 3/8" below the stops.

I have tried loosening all of the components and pulling up on the window but it does not make it.

Any Ideas??????

Mark, The first thing that comes to mind would be slack in the little nylon rollers that go in the door track and in the guide rail. Other possibility is a problem with the window regulator itself. Have you had the window assy out of the car and inspected it? If not, that would be my approach. I have sort of the same problem on my 62, but the gap at the top is more in the 1/16" range. It was worse before I replaced all the rollers. Dissassembly and reassembly is not too difficult and well documented in the ST12.
