    Rocker panel support removal

Can anyone tell me the best way to remove the rocker panel supports. I'm adding side exhaust to my mid-year and want to install like the factory did.

Just did that on Thursday. I'm assuming your body is off. I used a 1/16" bit and drilled into the spot welds on the inboard part. THe ones that face down. Then I took a spot weld cutter, it was 1/8 or 3/16, and cut into the supports just enough to free them. I took a big crescent wrench and worked them back and forth until they broke free. The outside spot welds will need an angle drill to do the same thing. I don't have an angle drill and just worked them back and forth until they were loose and then took a BIG screwdriver and they popped right off. I used a 36 grit Roloc disc to clean the channel up. There are some small holes on a few from the initial drilling. I plan to use some JB weld and fill 'em in and smooth it down and paint it.

    It looks very nice.
