    Power Brake Booster Finish 64

Started to change all hydraulic parts on 64, change to DOT 5, had master rebuilt but no more power brakes. Plug in master cylinder so not a tubing or cylinder problem. Master was bench bleed seems OK Vacuum unit may be the problem, but now that's out would like to restore it finish wise. It does not appear to have the gold finish, no sign inside the front housing or else where.
Does any one known if 64 with metallic brakes had a finish on the vacuum unit??
What would be the best book to purchase so I can look up in future. Its a Moraine Unit. Thank you

Mine is original and it is not painted or gold. Just the original metal finish.
