Monterey NCRS Convention

I haven't been to Monterey since the '87 Historics (last time Chevrolet was the honored marque), and I'm trying to figure out the lay of the land so to speak.

The registration materials say Flight/Bowtie/Founders cars should be driven to the "Municipal Garages". Is that the judging field? What kind of facility is it? Sounds like a typical multilevel parking garage.

Yeah, I find it stange that no one knows the deal. I guess no one who is organizing the event is watching the board.

I can't help with a response here but can add another question. While going through all my paperwork for the trip and looking over the Driveline schedule again, I've noticed that listed for Wednesday August 14th, we have security ending at 7am and at 8am a listing for Laguna Seca Race Track (Details to Follow). Anyone have any word on what this is or any details? Thanks!!!

Flight Judging & display cars will be in the convention center, which is located between the 2 hotels. The operations section of flight judging can not be done inside the convention center, so the cars will be staged in the municipal garages that the city owns. Saturday morning the operations sections will be conducted on all flight judged vehicles and then they will be moved inside. Founders operations will also be done at that time, but they will remain outside, as they are the only transportation for the member, as they were driven on the road tour.

Check out the National Corvette Museum for some info on the Corvette Corral and Seating during the Races. Register as soon as possible as it is booking up fast.
