c-3 70bb wiring questions

I am installing a new engine bay wire harness on my 70 BB.The old harness has been severky hacked over the last 30+ years and is missing some of the connections the new one has.

1. At the starter do the black and red wire go on the post,or is the black grounded elsewhere?

2.Are wiper washer wires orange and black?

3.Is the orange and black wire terminal with one horizontal wire and one vertical wire for a/c?
I have consulted the wiring diagram I have but cannot seam to find these items.The car has Hei so I will have to modify slighgtly the new harness.The wire that powers the dist is the cloth covered whit/red wire.At the top of that wire it intersects with a yellow wire.I assume I will just cut the yellow wire off at the top of the new harness.

You do not have to change any of the new wiring harness to hook up your HEI. I have a HEI on my 70 and I did not use the original wiring on my original owner 70 to run the HEI. I secured it out of the way and protected the terminal end to enable it from making electrical contact with anything.
If you want to do the same, just run a appropiate guage wire from the HEI through the firewall and connect it to the IGN terminal of your fuse block and it will run just fine with the required 12 volts.
Using the original resistor wiring in the 70 wiring harness will not give your continous 12 volts for the HEI.
The black wire with a large terminal goes to one one of the two starter bolts, I believe its the starter bolt closest to the frame of the car.
I can't look at my 70 right now to answer other questions.

The washer wires should be 18 gauge. One is Dark Blue and the other is Yellow.

The two wires that go to my 70's washer pump are blue and yellow. the yellow wire connects to the drivers side and blue wire to the passenger side of the washer pump. My blue wire is not a dark blue.
