    Birthday Book

Is the date given the estimated date on the Trim Tag or the estimated day the vehicle came off the assembly line?

    Re: Birthday Book

The date of manufacture is the date the car came off the line in St Louis. The Trim tag is not the date of manufacture of the car, it is the body build date. A O Smith cars from Ionia are typically 10-14 days prior to the actual car assembly date on the trim tag (for midyears that were built there up through 1967). The St Louis bodies are still the body build date on the trim tag, but the lag is less...Craig
