Does anyone know if NAT headmark intake manifold bolts were original on '66 L79 cars? My intake has 9 NAT headmark bolts and 3 C headmark bolts, all of which I believe are original to the car. The 66 JG says that A, M, TR, UR, or FP headmark bolts have been observed, but there's no mention of NAT or C headmark. Paragon and LIC sell M headmark bolts, but I'd rather not turn my car into an M headmark car if I can avoid it, but my original bolts are rather corroded.
The '66 JG says that NAT headmark bolts have been observed for the L79 thermostat housing, so NAT headbolts were used in '66 for some applications. Assuming that NAT headmark are also correct the intake, does anyone know of a source of new or used NAT bolts in 3/8-16 x 1.125"? Does anyone know company name of the original supplier of NAT bolts?
Thanks,
Gary
