    Interior Paint Numbers

After 8 months and 50% budget over-run my 65 conv body is almost ready to
come home. All she needs is the interior painted. That's the problem. I
can't seem to get the correct manufacturer's paint number. Can anyone help
me clear this up? Here is the info I have:

Trim Code: 414B, Blue Vinyl Base Model
    Paint Code: FF

Corvette Restorer Exterior Volume reprint list numbers for two different
    blues:

    Dark Blue Ditzler DL13069 / Dupont 9189L
    Med Blue Ditzler DL13071 / Dupont 9223L

My painter sprayed a sample of both. It seems the dash and related
components match the Dark Blue paint but the rear door pillar covers match
    the Med Blue??????

Vette Vues lists only one blue interior color as "Bright Blue" Not sure
which of the two paints above it is (if either)

The Corvette Restoration Guide Vol 2 also only lists one blue interior
    color.

I'm stumped (and color blind!) so I don't want to make a guess. Can anyone
set me straight with a good interior paint number?

    Thanks!

    Re: Interior Paint Numbers

I think your observations are probably correct. The dash components tend to be darker. They most likely used two different colors in the interior. It usually is a dead give away that an interior has been restored, if everything is the same color.

For instance, the 67 Bright blue has a darker dash and the original carpet is much darker than most reproductions. But the interior paint guides list a medium bright blue and a dark bright blue in 67. I see that it is not listed for 65, but it is listed for 66. Dark Bright Blue 9282L, DIA13228. You may want to try that.

Medium dark blue DL 13069 from Ditzler chart. A low gloss color used on Instrument panel, windshield lower garnish moulding, radio speaker screen, heater outlet panel, seat and jack stowage wells.

medium blue DL 1305. A low gloss color used on headliner, rear compartment inner area, linkage cover panel outer.

Medium blue DL 13057. A high gloss color used on windshield side and upper Garnish mouldings, upper garnish mouldings, halo panel, Hardtop garnish mouldings, Door upper-inner, kick panel retiner, lock pillar return flange and cap (inner)

Source is the PPG Ditzler paint chip catalog page for the 1965 Corvette circa 1965.

Thanks guys, the info you provided matches with the unrestored interior. I am so relieved that I checked this. I was about to paint the interior all low gloss Med Blue.

Question - Does anyone know what the "linkage cover panel outer." is? Is it the center console?

        Thanks again!

The linkage panel cover is the panel(actually 2 panels - one on each side) that covers the convertible top mechanism. Right behind your left shoulder.
