Yet Another Judging Question...

Well, I guess I'm a real novice! Reading the Judging Ref. Manual, it refers to an "Engine ID Stamp Pad" Can anyone tell me where it is on an 82??? Sounds like it should be well cleaned prior to judging.

Any help will be most appreciated!!!!!!

On the block deck surface foreword of the cylinder head on the passenger's side

The 'stamp pad' is machined or 'broached' horizontal surface on the block that protrudes forward, just below the passenger (RH) side valve cover.

Rich, The pad on 81-82s are real hard to see down below the AIR pump. There is one little hole,or shaft, to look down to see it.You need a good flashlight.

Thought I might need a flashlight. Thanks for the warning! That 54 Ford I had in high school was sure a lot simpler to fool with! But in '65, we couldn't even think about looking at a Corvette!
