Anti-theft Lock 70

Hi, the anti-theft lock has changed 1970 at about s/n 12500. But did also change the hole in the body? Or is the hole for all early and late 1970 models 1.2"? Because I have seen cars from 1972... with the same late-style lock but without a bezel and therefore with a hole of about 1". Thanks

I have #12981. Switch has the escutheon. I use my GM key, not a briggs.
