Re: C1 Wiper Cable Installation
Noldand Adams book goes over this at the end of the 56/57 section. To get slack in the cables, have someone press down on the transmission spline shaft while you pull the cables out. Pressing down on the spline shaft will disengage a spring loaded clutch mechanism. Wind the cables on the motor pulleys and then press the transmission spline shaft to take up the slack. This assumes that everything is working OK. If the transmission is frozen up like mine, expect to spend about 2 weeks playing with them to get them to work right.
Email me if you need a picture/diagram of how they get wound onto the pulleys on the motor or more information.

Re: C1 Wiper Cable Installation
The cables on the left cross. If I remember correctly, the left goes to the two inner positions and the right side goes to the two outer positions. Even with the cables fully extended, you may have to loosen the transmission a little to get the cables in the grooves. Only the inner cable actually extends. It is a tedious job.- Top
