    midyear horn date range

What is the normal lead time for midyear horns? Does a horn dated 4C3 (third week of March 1964) seem appropriate for a '64 with a body date of March 26 and a completion date of April 6, 1964? I am concerned that the horn date is pretty close to the completion date of the car, especially since nearly all of the other dated parts are from early March. Where were the horns constructed? Is is possible for a horn to have been constructed and installed on a car less than two weeks later? If the car was being judged, would this raise an eyebrow? Thanks in advance. Shane

Shane , the rule is "6 mos" before the build date. Many parts are pre-dated 3days to one week before the build. No raised eyebrows!
