Hello all,
I have a 69 with the 350/350hp and was recently looking at the cylinder heads(casting #3927186). I noticed that the heads have different casting dates and was wondering if this is common or do they usually have the same casting dates for both heads. I believe these heads are the original ones for my motor. One cylinder head's casting date is E79(may7,1969?) and the other is D269 (apr 26 ,1969?). The motor had an assembly date of May, 9 1969. This would lead to my next question , which would be : is the E79 dated head too close to the engine assembly (just two days after) or is this normal? If the two dates werent so close i really wouldnt question it but it had me thinking so if anybody could shed some light on this matter (and give me a little peace of mind) i would appreciate it . Thanks in advance!
