I recently tried to close my vent window. I turned the crank and the window started to close, however the crank kept spinning and the window stopped moving. If I assist the window I can get it to close but the crank does not reach a stopped position. Any suggestions on a repair? Your suggestions are appreciated.

Re: Vent window regulator for a 63 roadster
Bob - Ed's answer is probaly correct since the guts of those regulators are "pot" metal and gear teeth break but there is a chance that the backing plate came off the body. If that is the case and the gear teeth are OK, the backing plate can be reattached. Be sure to lubricate the gears on reassembly if it's repairable. Pete- Top
