"C1 car w/ C3 engine" clutch ball stud combo?

I have a '62 vette with a '70 350 block in it. The ball stud and bracket currently mounted on the engine is a bit of a Rube Goldberg, cut, bend, & weld construction that is mounted to the 1/2" threaded hole above and behind the oil filter centerline. It works, but it's not pretty. The bell housing is also not original, so the proper mounting location is not available. Is there a factory or aftermarket bracket/stud that would work for this engine in the 62? I want to leave the frame bracket at the factory location.
    Thanks for any help available,
    Denny

I have run into this problem in the dim and distant past. The only real good cure I know of is to find a proper bellhousing. The 61-62 aluminum bellhousing is fairly expensive, but the earlier cast iron bellhousings are not near as pricey and will work just as well. Might even be a bit more rigid.

As I recall, the threaded hole in the block is a bit forward of the correct position. I guess it might be possible to fabricate a bracket for the stud which attached to that hole, but with only one bolt I doubt it would be too successful.
