With respect to Corvettes, it's an oil pick-up screen/tube assembly applicable to 1975-79 Corvettes. These Corvettes were equipped with oil pan GM #465221, 465220, and 360450.

The GM #3855152 pick-up also has many other Chevrolet small block V-8 engine applications during the 1965-1979 time period, including passenger cars, Camaros, and light trucks.
