I recently purchased a set of four "gold line" radial tires from Coker tire for my 66 roadster. The side walls look orange to me and not gold. I called Coker and they say this is correct. Has anybody else had a similar experience? How can I verify that the color is correct? Thanks for your help.

Yes Gary - I have the same experience. I have a set of repro bias ply Firestone Goldlines that I show with that are an exact match to the original color photos I have of my 66 Coupe with the factory goldline option. The Coker radials are more of a pumpkin or as you mention an "orange" tint. -

Gary,
Contact Diamondback Tires as they can vulcanize a stripe on your choice of tire.
Maybe their stripes are a better color match than Coker.
Can you still return your tires to Coker?

I had Diamondback do some red lines for my 67 and they are GREAT. You can have them put on pretty much any tire you want as well. DanielComment
