I have an 81 vet I'm working on. The VIN number indicates that the car was built in Bowling Green. I am having a hard time finding out information for my trim plate. All the information i have only gives two lines or spaces for information. My trim plate has four spaces. Once I decipher the four spaces, then where can I go to find the correst codes? I would like to order new parts for the interior, but I want to make sure I get the right color. I'm fairly new to the hobby. Thanks

Re: Trim plate info
The trim tag on the inside driver door has three areas of info 1. in the upper center after CHEVROLET, is the build date( A-L, month starting Aug.1980 plus the day of the month. 2.Left side after the word TRIM is a three number code. 3. on the right side after the word PAINT is a two or four number code. These codes are listed in all the NCRS manuals. All "two tone" 81 cars were built in Bowling Green.- Top
