    Trim plate info

I have an 81 vet I'm working on. The VIN number indicates that the car was built in Bowling Green. I am having a hard time finding out information for my trim plate. All the information i have only gives two lines or spaces for information. My trim plate has four spaces. Once I decipher the four spaces, then where can I go to find the correst codes? I would like to order new parts for the interior, but I want to make sure I get the right color. I'm fairly new to the hobby. Thanks

For a small fee you can contact the Corvette Museum and they will give you a copy of all the information as to how your car left the Bowling Green Corvette plant.

The trim tag on the inside driver door has three areas of info 1. in the upper center after CHEVROLET, is the build date( A-L, month starting Aug.1980 plus the day of the month. 2.Left side after the word TRIM is a three number code. 3. on the right side after the word PAINT is a two or four number code. These codes are listed in all the NCRS manuals. All "two tone" 81 cars were built in Bowling Green.
