    65 327 Cylinder Head Bolts?

Can anyone confirm a known head bolt for a March 65 327?

    Michael------

A raised circle around the outer perimeter with a "C" marking in the center is a VERY common head bolt marking for small blocks of the period.

Re: Head Bolts?- Joe..... an after thought

I just checked my inventory as I thought I had those, but don't. Other than the junk yard routine, do you have any ideas on sources?

          Several were used.

Try an "M" with a circle around it or a "TR". Fasteners were supplied by several vendors. The only requirement was passing acceptance tests at GM.

            Michael and Dale-----

Yes, I didn't mean to imply that the configuration that I described was the only one used; just a common one. Others are equally "correct".

              And....

as I stroll 'memory lane' in my local yards, I've seen more than one 'untouched' engine with one set of fasteners on one bank and another on the opposite bank. Probably says there were RH and LH assy stations each with their own local fastener inventory bin and the bins were refilled asynchronously from each other....

That Job Was Called "Line Pusher"

and involved keeping the fastener bins full on the Corvette line, The Truck line, and The Passenger car line at St. Louis.

I suspect the job was called the same at Flint.
