    C-5 Safety

I have a '98 Coupe which, I believe, is the finest and safest car I've owned to date.
My brother-in law would really like to buy a C-5. However, he recently had the misfortune to be the middle of the sandwich in a four car rear end - front end collision. The impact from two cars to the rear was sufficient to break the back of his seat of his Buick Regal and push him up under the dash.
He has asked me about the C-5 in similar circumstance. I've checked the internet but found no statistics relating to rear enders.
Can anyone direct me to a website or publication which would have reference to this question.
Thank you for any help you might extend and, if this is an inappropriate question for the Board, I extend my aplogy.

    Re: C-5 Safety

did he have his seatbelt on as all cars are designed to hold you in place if you use your belts. no car is safe in a accident if you do not use your seatbelt. a friend of mine ended up trapped under his dash and now he wears his belt even backing out of the garage.
