My CE is 100% orig. and in perfect condition with 11,000 miles. I purchased $100.00 seat covers from Ecklers. They are tan with black embroidered CORVETTE on them. I put them on about one month ago and only drove the car 12 miles since then. The black dye from the embroidered logo bled right into my leather seats. You can imagine how I am going crazy. Does anyone have an ideas on how to get the dye out? Ecklers is working with the manufacturer to see exactly what they are going to do about it since it is their screw up. Thanks for any input, I feel like my life is ruined.

I hate to tell you this, but I don't think that you're going to have any luck in removing a dye like this from leather. You may be able to remove some of it, but returning the appearance of the leather to its pre-stain condition is going to be extremely difficult, at best.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Leather seat catastrophe
John,
You might try going to the website for Leatheriqu and see if they have any suggestions or can offer any help.
I think it is www.leatherique.com.
I'm not a dealer or affilicated in any way, I just have read lots of posts from guys who say this is a good vendor with a good product. I used some of their stuff on my Benz leather seats and I was happy.
