My 1982 CE has 11,000 miles on it. It's never been tuned up and I think it needs it. If I have the plugs, distr., rotor, pcv valve and maybe plug wires replaced with AC Delco, will I loose points in a Flight Judging for not having the "Original" parts? Is there still a way to have "Original" parts installed? I'm new to all of this if you haven't noticed. Thanks again.

Re: Crossfire tune up
With only 11K miles, I don't think your car really needs a "tuneup" unless it has some sort of problem. The parts you mentioned tend to wear with miles, but time has little or no effect, except possibly the plug wires, but the silicone plug wires are very durable. Electronic fuel and spark management have pretty much done away with conventional tuneups. About the only thing "modern" engines need are fluid, filter, and spark plug changes following the manufacturer's recommendation.
You could certainly remove the plugs for an inspection and clean them if you have access to a spark plug cleaner. You could also remove and clean the PCV valve in mineral spirits. The cap and rotor can be checked and any corrosion or oxidation may be dressed off the terminals with a small brass brush or dental pick (DO NOT use any kind of sandpaper).
A 20 year old car with only 11K miles is rare nowadays, and I encourage you not to change any parts unless it is absolutely necessary.
