I am planning on polishing a couple of pieces of stainless on my 56 with my moto-tool and a cloth wheel. Is there any specific compound that I should use on the stainless? I will be spiffying up a couple of grill teeth also but assume that I should just use a good semi-chrome polish there. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Eastwood makes some polishing compounds specifically for this purpose.....

Steve; Be carefull not to heat the trim up too much from buffing or it will warp and not fit properly after. If the peices are long you can tape them down on a strip of wood and move the tape as needed. David- Top

One last caution -- be very, very careful that the buff doesn't "catch" the edge of the stainless! It will either send it into orbit, or worse, grab it for a few revolutions and turn it into something resembling an old toothpaste tube. Go slow.- Top
