    Tacky Questions

After I removed my 1965 canvas soft top from the frame, I found all the original tack strips (not the hard rubber replacements) painted black. The AIM does not show tack strip installation, so, can I safely assume that the painted frames arrived in St.Loo from the vendor with the strips installed and painted?

Also, the TIM&JG, 1965, 4th edition states on page 22, that the folding top frame was painted semigloss black. Mine appears to sport the original paint, but it looks like gloss black to me. The sheen level looks higher than that of the unbuffed black lacquer in my door jambs.

    As always, thanks in advance.

    Re: Tacky Questions

The tacking strips were painted. I have found the top frames to be more glossy also.
