    Flywheel

Can someone identify and provide the application of a flywheel with the casting number "14091559N". It bolts up to a late model Chevy crankshaft with a one piece rear main seal. This FW has the ring gear teeth for the starter on the transmission side rather than the engine side. TIA, John.

What's the diameter of this flywheel or how many teeth does it have on the ring gear?

Joe; The flywheel has 168 teeth, 14-3/8 across the teeth and 13-7/16 across the plate surface. An 11" clutch fits nicely.

Well, about all that I can tell you is that this flywheel has no Corvette application. All Corvette (and Camaro) one piece rear seal engines used flywheels of 12-3/4" and 153 tooth ring gear.

If it were not for the strange configuration of the ring gear on the rear of the flywheel, I'd say that this was a GM PART #10105832 flywheel. This is the 14" flywheel for one piece seal applications. However, this flywheel has the conventional ring gear orientation.
