Early AC spark plugs

I have orignal AC sparkplugs dated `58 these plugs do not have the green stripes on them. Does anybody know when they started the green stripes, and are these plugs correct for the early corvettes. Kevin P #775

Are they 42,43,44,45 or 46?

I think I covered the stripe start date in my Restorer article of a few years ago entitled, "Will The Real Spark Plug Stand Up?"

I once hear a nasty rumor that all the PRODUCTION plugs from the 55-62 era had no stripes. Replacements started stripes in 1959. Can't vouch for the truth of this.
