    62 clock light

Just got my clock back from Clockworks, the bulb lights up when grounded, when I turn on my lights the bulb shuts off. Any comments? Thank you in advance.

    Charn -

Do you mean the clock light is on when the light switch is turned off and the bulb goes out when you turn the lights on?

Obviously something is miswired. You need to trace the light wire back toward the light switch. Without looking at a wiring diagram, I would think it is part of the dash light circuit. I will look this evening and see if that is correct.

I looked at a wiring diagram and the clock light is just another one of the several dash lights on the circuit. All are fed by 18 ga gray wires that run to a common junction and then back to the fuse panel. From the fuse panel, the power source goes back to the light switch. The dash lights should do the same thing as the clock lights. If not, the clock light has been wired into another circuit. You shouild be able to trace the wire back to the junction with the other dash lights and then back to the fuse panel.

Dummy me, I had my driver side door open when putting the clock in. Thanks Ed, John, live and learn!
