1990 Corvette cruising along, would not accelerate hardly at all, pulled up to stop sign, was running like it was on 4 cylinders, then quit. Would not start. Towed home. Sat for a day then started, ran rough again for a few seconds then quit. Any suggestions? What kind of analyzer should I use and where do I get one? Thanks.

Re: 1990 Corvette quit running
I'll start this off with bad fuel pump, one of the easiest changes to change because you can do it while standing at the rear of the car. If you have access to a fuel line pressuge guage you should check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail checking valve. Do you have any check engine lights?- Top

Jim, service eng soon light, check guages light, and battery lights are on. Can hear fuel pump come for a few seconds. Don't have a pressure guage.- Top

Re: 1990 Corvette quit running
If you hear the fuel pump run, it should for a few seconds with just turning on the ignition and not starting the car. Need to check the codes about the service eng. I have not used them, but Auto Zone will do this at their curb, I don't know if they will loan this type equip like they do their tools. I have to go to work mayby someone else can help.- Top
