MAY BE A DUMD QUESTION, I PURCHASED A NEW SET OF BELTS AND CAN NOT GET THE TIGHTNER AND HAMBONE TO HOLD THE BELT TIGHT. TRIED SEVERAL WAYS BUT NO LUCK????? PLEASE HELP.

Bill this would be a hard one to describe, but you will find a illustration in the AIM that shows how to route the belts through the hambones and tension bar. If you don't have a AIM, then it is also shown in Nolan Adams book.

The cheap imitation webbing supplied with most reproduction seat belt sets can sometimes refuse to tighten up.

Dale, I was about to send mine out to be re-webbed. I remember a few very frustrated posts concerning vendors in the past. Is there anyone you, or anyone else, would recomend?
I don't think it would matter for this thread but my car is a '68.

You need a six panel webbing for a 59 that's thick. Short of anyone who who might have a used set, or someone hoarding an NOS set, I wouldn't know where to turn.
A 1968 Corvette is another ball of wax!
