This is to Daniel, about Harry Mann Chevrolet, he was the largest on the West Coast in the 60's and 70's but Palmyra Motors Inc. was the largest in the country 68 & 69, and all the 70's until closing up in 1981. Bigger than Konnor Chevrolet in New Jersey also.>George

Hi George, Thanks to you I have spoken to Howard Van Bortel and his daughter about the old Palmyra Motors which he owned. I have photographs of the dealership w/ a sign saying they were the worlds largest Corvette Dealer. I have a 70 LT-1 that was sold new from Palmyra. I was able to send photocopies of all the original Palmyra paperwork to Mr. Van Bortel, which he seemed to appreciate. He insists that Palmyra Motors was "The worlds largest Corvette dealer" for many years in the 50's, 60's and early 70's. . He has promised me some give away items from the dealership but nothing to date.
