Does GM still stock the headlight actuator seals for the 68 through 82 cars? The repros seem to be much thinner rubber and are even shorter than the originals.Do I need to even bother worry about it?Do the repros hold up ok? Last time I did a set they were GMs so I didn't expect to see such a difference.Craig

Re: headlamp actuator seals
Wayne and Craig----
Yes, the headlamp (or w/w door vacuum actuator) seals were NEVER available seperately from GM. For many years, when they were not available in reproduction either, one's only choice was to replace the whole actuator assembly. I wonder how many original actuators went into the scrap pile only for want of an actuator seal? I know of 1 that did.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: headlamp actuator seals
I've replaced the seals in both the headlight and wiper actuator motors, Craig. I didn't mic them but they certainly appeared identical to the originals. They at least do, as Joe wrote, return an otherwise perfectly functional unit back into service.- Top
