Can anyone tell me if there are any differences from the paragon reproductions to originals. Paragon told me they own the original molds and they are exact. Also, if this isn't the case, is it better to have original manifolds with the wrong date or reproduction ones with the correct date, for judging and value purposes.

Re: Paragon Exhaust Manifolds
Jim,
I have a Paragon reproduction manifold on the right side of the 265 in my 56. I can't tell any difference in the appearance of the two and have had some knowledgable folks agree with me that they are, virtually, identical. Personnaly, I would opt for a quality, correct, reproduction IF you plan to have your car judged. Steve- Top

Re: Paragon Exhaust Manifolds
I haven't looked at Paragon's manifolds for some time, but when they first started to make them, they took a grinder along the top of each casting and removed all the casting flash, and the "nubs" along the seam. That was a dead give-away that it was a repro, and not an original. Don't know if they still do this. Chuck1963 Corvette Conv. 327/360 NCRS Top Flight
