No, it's not the actor. I haven't done the conversion, but Newman would be my choice for the frame mods. No difference if you're doing a frame off resto, once you pull the body off, make sure the cushions seat in the body mounts.

Cheaper (or at least no more expensive) to buy a used mid-to-late 80's C4 and keep your C2 as well. Other than double insurance and registration fees, you get the best of both worlds.
