    Laquer Touch -Up?

Ok, I scratched the black laquer paint on my mid-year (the steel headlight shell). The scratch is fairly deep, probably down to the metal. How to best touch it up? Simple match dipped in black enamel, trying to level it? Or, feather sand the edges and try to fade it in? Enamel? (easy to get in a tiny Testor's bottle) or try to get some laquer mixed at the paint store?

Get a pinstriper's brush, thin out the laquer, in in pt can, or get laquer in aerosol can and spray some into a small cup. Thin applications, carefully use the stiper's bush to fill in the scratch. Let dry, and do it again, and again, and again. When the scatch is filled, depending how it looks, you can walk away or use 1000 grit to make the touch up blend blend with the rest of the paint.
