dancing gas gauge

i have tried to correct dancing gas gauge on my '62 with no luck. I read the article from the Restore but i cannot stop the gas guage from showing "full" when I apply my brakes. any suggestions? Thanks, David.

I don't know what the Restorer article said, but I added a ground wire on my 61 from the sending unit flange to the frame which stopped the problem.

My '57 used to do the same thing, as the brake lights and gas gauge sending unit share the same ground wire in the taillight harness - I grounded the sending unit direct to the frame with its own wire and all returned to normal.
