    Verify Top Flight Certificate

I'm looking at a '67 L36 supposedly Top Flighted in 1993. Can I verify this by the certificate no.? I'm paranoid, what can I say. Thanks.

      Juliet's advice is sound, BUT....

Roy can only confirm/deny the authenticity of the certificate. Since '93 a LOT of time has passed and without having the car freshly re-judged, you simply can't tell if it IS in the condition today that it was at the time of judging in '93. There could be driving wear/tear, there could be parts substitution, basically a LOT could be different now vs. then. Caveat emptor!

Thanks Juliet and Jack. I certainly don't expect it to be in TOP Flight condition today but at least I'll know that it was there at some point post-restoration. I certainly plan to examine it closely but hope it hasn't drifted too far since then.

It was quite original when it was built as well but who knows?

            Ray,

Chapter vs. Regional vs. National Top Flight would also make a significant difference. I wouldn't put a whole lot of weight, if any, in a 9 1/2 year old Chapter Meet Top Flight. No offense to Chapter judges, as I'm one of them too. It's just that how the car scored depends how much the judge that particualr day did nor didn't know, and the pool of judges is a lot smaller for a Chapter meet.

Patrick,I suspected as much. This is indeed a chapter certificate. I guess I'm trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill.
