My 71 has a rear bearing failure. I have removed both trailing arm assy for recondition. Need info on who to send assy too. I see Ecklers has a rebuild service for a reasonable price. Any help would be appreciated. ED

I don't think that Eckler's has an in-house rebuilding service for the trailing arms; I think that they send them out to one of the specialists. These would include:
Van Steel of Clearwater, FL (www.vansteel.com)
Bair's Corvette of Linesville, PA (www.bairs.com)
Carter's Corvette of Livermore, CA (925-449-2176)In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

They send them to Van Steel, since it's a lot closer to them than anyone else. I have, too, but it's a long way from my home in MI. I just like Art and his work.

Re: C3/71/trailing arm and bearing rebuild
I recently had my trailing arms and calipers rebuilt by Precision Engineering out of Florida. They advertise in the Driveline and have a web site www.fixvetteparts.com. They were reasonable, did good work, had reasonable turnaround, and had free return delivery for NCRS members. Check 'em out
