Rim Question

I'm two half breaths away from picking up a complete burned (and I mean BURNED) numbers matching 69 coupe.

I noticed that the rims have the letters FM next to the valve stems, were ther FM rims for Corvettes.

Just curious.

Nope, 69's used code "AZ" wheels; don't know what the usage was for "FM" code wheels, but I don't show them as ever being used on a Corvette.

I knew about the AZ code but am puzzeled with this one.

Grant Wong brought up a possible though, it could have been FW for camaros and chevelles.

Checking Alan Colvin's "Chevrolet by the Numbers" books for 1965 to 1975:
FM = 1974 & 1975 Chevelle Heavy (presumably heavy duty) 14 x 6 inch, with 5 x 4 3/4 bolt pattern. .5 offset.
