1961 Rear Wheel Cylinders

I am looking for two original rear wheel cylinders for my 1961. Does anyone know the part numbers? Thanks, Joe

The GM Parts Book is in error on the left-right issue. The above is factually correct.

The casting number for these 1 inch diameter Delco parts is 5450649 left and right. It's the machining that determines left or right application.

NEVER sleeve a C1 brake cylinder with stainless steel which causes undue rubber piston wear. Always use brass.

When you say sleeving the brake cylinder with SS, are you referencing the wheel cylinders exclusively, or are you including the MC in your statment?

Rubber acting over a long distance on stainless steel is NOT good. Calipers aren't affected since the travel is so short.

Stainless sleeves work well with calipers because the pistons move over very short distances.
