    Has anyone seen a four bolt main LS-5 ?

    I was under the impression that all the LS5's were two bolt. That's true on my 70 roadster & 71 coupe.

      that is what I thought. I am thinking that the factory ran out of two bolt and used one with four bolt. this one also has a crank sheild an trap door oil pan could tell me what yours has thanks

        It's been too long since I've been in either one to remember for sure, but I don't think they had the windage tray and I don't recall any differences between the LS5 oil pans and the SHP 69's I have, but just like above, I'm really guessin' here. It's probably been a dozen years at least since I opened either engine. More recently I've gotten better with photographing components, realizing that my memory's not what it use to be and isn't likely to be gettin' better. Sorry I can't be more help.

          The oil pan used on all 1965-74 Corvettes with big block was of, essentially, the same configuration. All had the same internal baffling and "trap door".

          As far as I know, all big blocks also had the external oil pan baffle.

            Thye LS5 I owned when it was new was a two bolt. As far as I know there were no 4 bolts ever produced.
