Re: Joe Lucia-Need Help Please
Thank you again Joe for your timely response. Only thing is, poor ole Kurt still doesn't know what to do. I was hoping that someone that is a whole lot smarter than me would post a response to the "real" problem of keeping their "original" high compression and living with it. You know, something like a certain advance curve in the distributor and maybe jetting in the carb (fuel injection). Again, it amazes me that nobody is sticking their head up on this issue except me, you and a couple of others on single occasions.
It would really hack me off if I bought a car that was supposed to have the "right" engine in it only to find out it had been emasculated by having the compression cut.
So I ask again, in the ncrs eyes, which should be the bigger points deduct, a restamped block or one with the wrong pistons in it? I'd rather have the re-stamp. It's closer to "design intent"!
Stay tuned for my FIRST post! Same subject!
Regards,
Mike
