    Convertible rear quater panel retainers

What's the difference between C3 coupe and convertible rear quater panel retainers? Will 68-75 convertible retainers interchange? I have a 68. Thanks, Bryan

There is a difference in the configuration of coupe and convertible retainers. However, 1968-75 convertibles are all the same as are 1968-77 coupes. EC Products makes repros of these.

Thanks Reba, I've located a set of these but, the individual who is selling them doesn't know if they are coupe or convertible. Unfortunately, I only have the lower portion of the retainers for my 68 conv. and I don't know what the difference is between coupe and convertible. I would imagine it is the top half of the retainer set that is different. Can somebody out here give me a description of a coupe retainer verses a convertible retainer.

        Bryan-----

As you are aware, the retainers are a two piece affair. The LOWER retainers (the long pieces) are different from side-to-side but are the same for both coupe and convertibles from 68-75. However, the UPPER retainers (the short pieces)are different for coupes and convertibles. The coupe upper retainers are nearly "straight", sort of like a much shorter version of the lower retainer. The convertible upper retainers are VERY curved and distinctly different from the coupe retainers.
